WMS viadat comes with new user interface
Even easier to configure and more intuitive to use
viastore SOFTWARE GmbH has given its established warehouse management system (WMS) viadat an extensive upgrade. One of the impressive new features of viadat 9.0 is the new user interface which is easy to configure and intuitive to use. Moreover, the warehouse management software is independent of databases and operating systems and ideally suited to e-commerce businesses and logistics service providers thanks to its scalability and multi-client capability.
viadat 9.0 includes more than 2,500 functions for manual or automatic storage, picking and distribution, which are all available in 16 languages as a standard offering. This means that the WMS can be used without any problems across multiple locations and international borders, and allows for uniform, streamlined intralogistics processes throughout the company. viadat can be connected to all ERP systems, implemented quickly and comfortably using the configuration wizard, and customized to meet individual requirements. With a simple mouse click, the user can, for example, create new forklift or picking workstations, add additional storage zones, and integrate further warehouse equipment components such as shuttle systems or driverless transport systems. Thus, warehouse operators are well-prepared for possible future changes and expansions of their intralogistics.
The self-explanatory user interface ensures easy handling. Accordingly, pickers can work intuitively in various areas in a distribution center without having to undergo extensive training. Logistics managers can bring together all the information and key figures needed at the current time or permanently in their own individual dashboards so as to facilitate the planning of tasks and resources. All relevant data is clearly displayed and available at all times – whether on the desktop, laptop, tablet PC, or smartphone. Functions and information that are not required can be hidden and displayed again quickly whenever necessary. The intuitive user interface minimizes the time needed for training, reduces errors to a minimum, and provides a valuable basis for monitoring and decision making. As a result, users can benefit from significantly improved efficiency in warehouse planning and processes.
